New Cold War

What have we learnt from History?

History is evident that four decades of cold war between US and Russia brought nothing but Arms Race. Cold war between them ended  in dis-integration of USSR(Russia). It was the increasing Military expenditure that dragged Communist Empire back on Earth.Proxy wars in every nook and  corner of the World were in practice. US and Russia have learnt there lesson; which is evident from their progress Economically, Politically and Diplomatically. What cold war has for Pakistan and India: To not to Play US and Russia With each other. If US and Russia can reach on an understanding Pakistan and India should also follow Realistic approach with a will to resolve the un-resolvable issues existing between the two.World Powers should change their Policies on Kashmir issue and should sit on the same table with Pakistan and India to avoid emergence of this New Cold war into Hot war. Peace can only be resumed through table talk and Diplomatic channels.

Wind Power.

Wind Power
Currently ,Pakistan is generating only 150 MW of electricity through wind. According to a USAID research report  , conducted in 2012 , Pakistan has potential to generate 150,000 MW of electricity by wind-only. it was cited in same report that speed of wind in Sindh corridor is 7.5-7.9 m/s where as that in most part of the world ranges from 6.5 to 6.9 m/sec.
Our neighbor India is producing 24000 MW from wind which is greater than that of Pakistan's total power generating capacity.
Our Political leaders lack will and for-sighted vision in solving energy issue . Recently , we have announced to built nuclear plants in Karachi despite the threats posed by these plants to Environment and to Population in case of an accident . World is switching toward safer and environmental friendly sources of energy. we are still using and relying on old techniques i.e Coal, Petroleum ,Nuclear rental plants etc.
What about the AEDB (Alternate Energy Development Board) plan to generate 3000 MW till 2015? the non-serious attitude of our Political leadership is leading us to no where.

if we ponder over the wind energy with serious intentions, not only the problem of Energy crisis would be solved but also the burden of Oil import will also decrease. And an investment of $5 billion is estimated in FDI .
